MOMENTUM BMX AT St PETE BMX State Qualifiers 3 & 4:

It was Friday night and the trailer was buzzin' everyone deciding what line to take. The inside was the ticket, as we could all see from the second straight. ONE could see this track would put everyone's skills to the test. The track surface was old school, loose and dry with hated wet spots. Everyone did a phenomenal job navigating the long winding track. Anthony Delnevo held it together quite well with the experts making his main both days in each class placing 6th and 7th. Kendra Stoddard had a great hole shot all weekend finishing out with a 4th and 5th. Rough and tough 15 novice class dealt out a crash for Maxie King then he fought back to get a 2nd. Alex Hammond ran into some classic competition from the 19-25 novice class and pulled out a 6th. Christian Geissler had some trouble in the semi on day 1 with a tight squeeze at the line, on day 2 however, he managed the get 2nd place behind J&R's Nick Lucas. The gruesome 19-25 X class doesn't just allow anyone in the main. Fred Lintz deserves a big hero cookie  for his 5th place on Saturday and attempting to hit the pro side in the main on Sunday. It would have been a perfect weekend for Chris Barlowe if hit wasn't for his dirt nap in the second turn on Sunday. Brooke Butcher never gives up and sports a big smile while racing with the boys in 5 and under rookie. A 4th place on Saturday wasn't good enough for Josh Peoples because he came back on Sunday with a first place by a whole straight. In Justin Butchers first 8 novice State qualifier, he managed to make it to the main on Sunday and finished 7th. Going for big moves in the first turn was how Frank Peoples pulled through with an 8th and 6th making his main both days. With a look of determination Devin Harrison made it look easy with a 2nd and 3rd on 20’’ and a 6th in Cruiser. Boone Hatcher held on to the ONE spot for Saturdays Main, and finished up 2nd on Sundays Main. ONE of the most radical little dudes ever Andrew Peterson scored perfects ALL weekend “That means 1st place all weekend". Two good friends in the same class Jamie Royster and Travis Bryant made it to their main on Sunday to get 2nd (Travis) and 3rd (Jamie) after they found time to make it to their semi. Two other guys that race each other are Andrew Hoover and Cevin Hammock, looking good in the 15 rookie class, Andrew Hoover pulled a first and a third while Cevin got 7th both days. Seven was Cevin's lucky number in Cruiser also. Daniel Bryant said " I had a lot of fun at my first State race", after finishing 4th on day 1 and crashing in both motos on day 2 " traffic was to blame" said the excited rookie! Amelia Turner showed her team spirit by entering the 17 and over class on Saturday. Nicole Lamb stuck it out both days for a 7th and 5th. Kraigen Perry a young rider with some natural skills is making a name for himself in the 16 rookie class, with a 2nd place finish, only competing one day.

We plan on installing a 24 ft. x 10 observation deck for the team trailer. If you are interested in helping with a small donation it will be appreciated. Our goal is 2,000 dollars, maybe if we get it together it could be finished by Punta Gorda. Please contact Chris or Amelia for additional information. Also we would like to welcome our newest rider Tobias Purifey 25 (super X)  to the team. Can't wait until the next race, see you all there,   GOOD LUCK.

MOMENTUM BMX AT THE PRESIDENTS CUP:
Congrats to everyone who attended the President's cup and helped Florida get the # 1 spot. Maybe next year we can work on getting the race down here in the sun. Anthony Delnevo just won his last novice race and open at the indoor venue, it's guaranteed that FL used his perfects to help us win! Cevin Hammock made his main in one of the fastest cruiser classes around even after a recent broken collar bone. Winning semi's at a big race like the presidents cup is pretty tough, you could ask Boone Hatcher about that! Frank and Josh Peoples did really good, Frank with a solid 4th in the main but Josh decided to take a seat while on the bubble, so no main for that day. The infamous 13 girls class must have been stacked, our fastest girl on the team Kendra Stoddard squeaked by with a 6th in the main. A podium finish by 15 nov Maxi King gives us hope for the state season! We hope to make a STRONG debut at St. Pete so keep training and progressing!
William Royster deserves a BIG thanx for donating our new 20' car hauler trailer to the team!
